General 2 — Camber Beach House

The Hideaway.

This contemporary coastal home behind the dunes of Camber Sands offers the perfect space for friends and family to relax together in comfort. Conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and bars. This unassuming but beautifully designed cottage embraces inside/outside living with a skylight and sliding patio doors leading out to a level south facing deck with outdoor fabric garden furniture, wood burning pizza oven/BBQ and fire pit. It provides a special coastal getaway for families and groups up to 8. Please note that The Hideaway no longer has an outdoor hot tub.

Inside.

The front door leads into a welcoming hallway where there is space for dropping off shoes and coats before heading into the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The living area has a large comfy corner sofa with wood burning stove and 65 inch smart TV. The well-appointed kitchen with abundant worktop space is equipped with all the modern conveniences including electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, larder fridge, freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and a breakfast bar for 2. There is a large oak dining table with deep cushioned seating for 8. The ground floor has a utility area with a washer/dryer.

Sleep.

The ground floor offers the first of four bedrooms, with 2 single beds. A family bathroom with free-standing stone bath, double walk in shower and separate WC is located on this floor. On the first floor you will find two super-king-size bedrooms, one of which has a large en-suite shower room with his and hers showers, vanity basin and a WC, and one king-size bedroom.

Outside.

Outside, there is a fully enclosed, south-facing, private garden with a large deck. Equipped with dining table, chairs, comfy outdoor fabric sofas, loungers, and a gazebo for shade, along with a wood or charcoal burning Morsoe outdoor stove and pizza oven. Please note that the property no longer has an outdoor hot tub.

Location.

The Hideaway is located behind the dunes of Camber Sands beach, in East Sussex, UK, in the village of Camber, near Rye. It is the only sand dune system in East Sussex, and is east of the estuary of the River Rother at Rye Bay stretching 3 miles to just beyond the Kent border, where shingle and pebbles take over again. The dunes provides a valuable natural habitat to many animals and plants. There is private parking for one car on the driveway and free street parking is available in front of the property.
